torsdag pannkaka kväll

Thursday Swedish pancake night - best kept secret in Sweden. I don't know if every family eats em, but we do. Even our pickiest of eaters love them.
Swedish pancakes are thin and eaten with fruit or preserves. If ever we end up back in the states, we're bringing a swedish pancake skillet with us.

Swedish pancakes cause young lads to make faces. How different are those pannkaka from crepes?
torsdag...Thursday?

i can't tell if those are looks of joy or disgust.
If you cook them for us, do I have to make a face?

crepe(heavy french accent) is probably a great way to describe them. maybe a swede will enlighten us. we've eaten them with every berry or preserves under the sun. even fresh whip cream. MAN, is it thursday yet?

faces are optional. probably a result of sprinkled sugar.

They are like crepes. French serve them with other stuff, usually something non sweet. Swedes serve them with something sweet. The real thursday tradition with pancakes is to eat a ham and pea soup before the pancakes, we haven't gotten to that part yet. As a kid you hurried up to eat the darn soup so you could eat pancakes!!
