Mileposts again.

Brrrr.... Chilly day for a ride in the country. The high temperature for the day was upper thirties.

Milepost 357 between Springfield, OH and Urbana, OH.

This Milepost is just south of Loveland Ohio.

Technology is a wonderful thing, in the hands of somebody who knows what they're doing. Obviously not my hands. This was supposed to be with the following post "Mileposts R Us."

Hey I've seen some of those. It looks like you took your chain saw with you to get the photograph.

How long did it take you to go from 97 to 357? Who is the old guy next to the mile marker?

Yes, the old fart in the picture is me. The mileposts are remnants of two different railroads numbered from two different beginning points. They're maybe 70 miles apart while the pictures were taken quite a few weekends apart.

If you are the 'old fart',is the young fart behind (snicker snicker) the camera?

In response to John's question if people even know what they are passing.

I have to say some people fall down when they just do a double take about what they are passing. this is true especially if they have experienced "rail" guides on the ride telling them to look.

I limped for a while and at my age, the bruises come easy and stay for a long while.

You can't beat the rail to trail rides!
